THE TOUR

The Adventuretour is a unique combination of gorge hiking and jeepsafari.
Away from mass tourism we walk through one of the most beautiful gorges of the island
and drive offroad in a part of Crete where it seems if time has stood still.

The tour starts at 09.00h and ends at about 17.00h.

After a short briefing we drive through the mountains to the entrance of the gorge where we will
leave the jeeps behind.
Before we start walking we enjoy a typical greek refreshment so that everybody is really awake.

Depending on group and circumstances it will take 2.5 to 3 hours to walk the gorge.

At the end of our walk we have a cool drink and an original greek picnic wich we prepare together.

After a well-deserved meal we start the second part of our tour,the jeepsafari.

We go up to an altitude of 1200 meters ( 4000 feet ) to go 4x4 offroad.
During the safari there are several stops.
At one of them you will be able to see the north-eastcoast as well as the southcoast.
This is the smallest part of Crete ( 12km ).

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

You need: Proper shoes,suntan creme,hat or suncap and sufficient water.

The tour is guided by english speaking tourguides.

This tour is not suitable for people with health problems and children under the age of 10.
